Hiri does support the vast majority of proxies. Proxy support is turned on by default.
In certain cases, you may need to turn off proxy support. For example;
- if your organisation uses transparent proxies
- if you use VPN or bypass your organisation's proxy server
To turn of proxy support, you need to modify the hiri.ini file. The hiri.ini file can be found in the following locations:
On Windows
- Go to Run
- Type %localappdata%/hiri
On Mac
- Open the Finder
- In the File menu choose Go -> Go to Folder
- Type /Users/username/Library/Application Support/hiri
(replace username with your username)
On Linux:
-$HOME/.local/share/hiri/
Snap:
-$HOME/snap/hiri/current/.local/share/hiri/
Make sure Hiri is closed and open the hiri.ini file. Under the [ews]
section add the following line:use_proxies=false
Save the file and restart Hiri.
